Lisa Roberts has been the General Counsel of NADB since its inception. Prior to assuming this position, she served as an attorney for the Office of the Assistant Secretary for International Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury in Washington, D.C. In that capacity, she was lead counsel in the negotiation and drafting of NADB’s Charter. She also participated in the implementation of President George H. W. Bush’s Enterprise for the Americas Initiative for Latin American debt relief and as a member of the legal team for the $20-billion-peso support package for Mexico provided by the U.S. government in 1995. Lisa also served as an attorney at the New York law firm of Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler prior to joining the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Lisa graduated first in her class from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in International Relations and earned her law degree from Harvard Law School in 1988.
