North American Development Bank to host NADBank SUMMIT 2023 in San Antonio, Texas, August 30 and 31, 2023

  • The event brings together federal, state and local authorities, business chambers, investors, infrastructure project developers, academics, environmental experts, opinion leaders and media representatives from the United States and Mexico.
  • It offers a binational platform to foster discussion on relevant environmental and sustainability issues and the latest trends in regional economic integration along the U.S.-Mexico border, as well as investment opportunities in the region and potential financing mechanisms and alternatives through the participating financial institutions.

San Antonio, Texas - The North American Development Bank (NADBank) will host NADBANK SUMMIT 2023 with the theme "Sustainable Regional Economic Integration: U.S.-Mexico," on August 30 and 31, 2023, at the Westin Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. The event will serve as a binational platform to foster analysis, dialogue and synergies on topics related to the economic integration of the region, nearshoring with an emphasis on sustainability, water challenges and innovative actions to address stressed water resources, the importance of energy transition on the border, green manufacturing and industrial parks, and the role of mobility in economic integration. Additionally, there will be two specific panels where the officials from some border states will discuss their programs, investment plans and sustainable infrastructure projects, as well as investment opportunities in the region and potential financing options available through the participating financial institutions.

Approximately 40 distinguished panelists from both countries will participate during two-day event. Keynote speakers include Ambassador of Mexico to the United States, Esteban Moctezuma; Governor of the State of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila; President of the Business Coordinating Council, Francisco Cervantes; Senior Vice President in charge of the El Paso and San Antonio Branches of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Roberto Coronado; President and CEO of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Ramiro A. Cavazos; the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Mexico, Jonathan Heath; Group President, Clean Energy and SEMPRA Infrastructure, Tania Ortíz Mena; and the Mayor of San Antonio, Texas, Ron Nirenberg. 

NADBANK SUMMIT 2023 is a platform that brings together, in a single forum, public and private entities who have plans and projects for sustainable environmental infrastructure and financial institutions and investors interested in investing in and spurring development of these infrastructure projects, along with potential large-scale users and sustainability experts. All of this is done to enhance the impact and benefits for the population of the border region.
