Background

Given the significant lack of paving coverage in the city of Playas de Rosarito, the Project proposal utilize funds to increase paving coverage and continue to  achieve  of  reducing PM10 emissions. The  Project  achieved  the expected objectives of improved access to adequate road infrastructure and improved air quality by helping to reduce emissions by new paving roads in several residential areas of Playas de Rosarito that lacked this  infrastructure.  This  Project helped to meet paving deficiencies. The paving works helped local resident, directly, by improving their mobility in the city.

Description

The objective of the Project was to improve access to adequate road infrastructure, thus reducing harmful  emissions and contributing to an improvement in air quality and human health to provide; reduction of  harmful  emissions, access to paved roads, and Improvements to the water and wastewater system.

Benefits

The implemented Project consisted of first time road paving for an area of 700,000 m² in several residential areas, included; development of final designs, new paving, equipment acquisition, supervision and repair and Improvements to the water and wastewater system.
