Brownsville, Texas – A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place this afteroon to commemorate the completion of a wastewater collection system and residential connections in the FM 511-802 Colonias to provide service to more than 2,200 residents in the southeastern area of the city of Brownsville, Texas.
The North American Development Bank and water utility in Camargo, Tamaulipas, have signed a US$2.53 million grant agreement. It will benefit 8,819 residents.

San Antonio, TX – The North American Development Bank (NADB) and the Whetstone Water Improvement District (WWID) have signed a $500,000 Community Assistance Program (CAP) grant to support the construction of a new well and installation of a water main to connect the well to the distribution system.
Grant funds are administered by the North American Development Bank. Senator Cornyn and Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) helped secured federal funding for EPA’s US-Mexico Border Water Infrastructure Program (BWIP).

Socorro, Texas. – Residents of the Cotton Valley neighborhood in Socorro, Texas now have sewer service thanks to a wastewater project funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through the Border Environment Infrastructure Fund (BEIF), which is administered by the North American Development Bank (NADB). This morning, community members joined U.S. Representative Texas District 23 Will Hurd, Texas State Senator Jose Rodriguez, North American Development Bank (NADB) Managing Director Alex Hinojosa, EPA Region 6 Water Division Deputy Director David Garcia and Lower Valley Water District (LVWD) officials to celebrate the completion of a wastewater collection system that is providing first-time service to more than 200 residents of this Lower Valley community.
